Skip Powers Joins Accelent Consulting as Partner

Significant opportunity to expand digital marketing and sales support services in the Midwest

San Rafael, CA – April 24, 2017 –  We are excited to announce that Skip Powers has joined the Accelent team as a Partner.  Skip is based in Chicago where we believe the need for digital marketing and sales strategy and execution support for both early stage growth companies and mid market companies is under served   There are many traditional companies based in the Midwest that also need some help in planning their digital transformation strategy and could use the help of Skip and the team.  In addition to representing Accelent in the Midwest, Skip will serve clients in other parts of the US, Europe and Asia as needed. We are excited to be building out our senior team of proven Industry leaders with international experience to help companies adapt digital technologies to drive the business and enhance the customer experience.

Skip has a holistic view on a client’s business, bringing a strong foundation in Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Business Development to help grow and improve all aspects of the business and deliver revenue growth in improved profitability. Having worked with clients across all industry sectors, he has unique insights that on how to approach strategic initiatives and opportunities. In addition, he is well versed in the latest digital technologies that improve marketing and sales alignment, revenue growth, and the ability to manage the business.

Biography

 Skip is a senior executive that has led businesses in the advertising, marketing technology and production industries. He has over 20 years of experience in delivering strategic advisory, strategic marketing, revenue generation, technology adoption, and process efficiency initiatives on both a national and global scale. In addition to leading businesses to deliver revenue and profitability growth, he has been tasked to develop and execute turn-around strategies for many organizations working with their ownership teams including both holding company and private equity groups to maximize their return on investment.

Skip has worked in both permanent and interim leadership roles to fulfill the immediate needs of an organization spanning Marketing, Finance, Business Development, Technology, and Operations. He has worked across most industry sectors and has led major initiatives with Accenture, T Rowe Price, Kraft Heinz, Kellogg, MasterCard, General Motors, Fiat Chrysler, Walmart, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Harley-Davidson, RadioShack and Microsoft.

Skip has held executive leadership roles at organizations, many global, including Seven Worldwide, Schawk, Coloredge, and Gutenberg Networks (DDB) and worked with private equity groups including Kohlberg & Company, Stonington Partners, and K1 Investment Management supporting organizations within their respective portfolios.

Skip has a BS in Finance from Iowa State University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
