Accelent Expands East Coast Team – Bill Stone Joins as Partner

Industry Veteran in Digital Marketing Delivers Value to Companies Looking to Accelerate Pipeline Growth


San Rafael, CA – February 20, 2017 –  Accelent is growing its senior consulting team and are pleased to have Bill Stone join us in Boston as a Partner. Bill is a funnel-conversion expert, focused on helping organizations get more revenue out of the sales and marketing funnel, particularly those who need to optimize the “revenue engine” to improve pipeline performance and effectively increase the ROI from marketing automation. He will be working with Pam Bradley, Principal Consultant, and Peter Yorgin, Senior Consultant to provide digital marketing strategy and execution services on the East Coast but also serves clients nationally. Bill is a proven leader and a pioneer in the evolution of digital technologies that drive the business and enhance the customer experience.

Bill is particularly passionate about helping companies get the most out of their investments in marketing and sales technology. While many companies have developed exceptional solutions, most still need help improving deal-flow conversion through their marketing and sales funnel. Bill helps companies identify opportunities to get more revenue out of the funnel and/or improve retention – measurably & predictably. A well thought out customer-first marketing strategy and plan is the foundation for his work as an interim executive or strategic lead to improve marketing effectiveness.

Bill is a seasoned executive with over 25 years experience in strategic marketing, management, and global business development – the past decade as a growth consultant providing interim or fractional (CRO/ CMO) pipeline acceleration leadership. As a Partner at Accelent, his focus is helping companies transform and modernize customer acquisition machines & retention engines to scale growth, accelerate value and exit events, and employ best practices to improve marketing and sales process alignment and operations.  His strategic work also includes customer analysis, validation, market segmentation, positioning and messaging.

Bill has personally worked with over 100 companies marketing and selling technology, life sciences, financial and other services on a global scale. Past projects for public companies include Constant Contact, Moody’s KMV, Liberty Medical, IBM and many others. He has also held fractional roles as CMO, VP of Marketing, Demand and Operations with dozens of companies in a variety of industries.

His startup experience includes being a founding member of one of the first B2B/C database marketing companies, a solutions innovator at Mullen Advertising (Top 25 Brand Agency), founder of one of the first strategic & creative direct marketing agencies (Renaissance Direct). He ultimately founded a growth acceleration and funnel-conversion advisory practice and served as an EIR at M&A and PE firms, angel investor.

Prior to consulting, Bill was a sales leader/enabler for a few startup companies in the fledgling direct and demand gen space. Bill has a B.A. degree in English Literature and a minor in economics from St. Lawrence University.
